Dwell: WEEK of Personal Prayer & Worship
Dwell is a week set aside to intentionally seek and receive from the Lord through prayer and worship. We will be hosting continuous prayer and worship in the sanctuary from 7am-8pm every day through the week til Sunday. We aim to encourage time set aside in your schedule to seek God, receive from him, intercede, spend time in his word, hear from Him and enjoy his presence in an invitational space. It may be wise even now to put it in your calendar and make time slots to come and pray.
We believe that God's desire is that his house would be a house of prayer. We gladly throw time and resources at the pursuit of relationship with God. In a similar fashion to David's tabernacle, the man after God's own heart, the one who desires to be in God's presence more than anything, we will have dedicated musicians worshiping throughout much of the days with a heart to continually honour and praise the Lord and draw near to him and experience his presence. You are welcome to come and freely engage with God in the way you see fit during the time. It's just about allowing yourself to come before God and get on his agenda.
Some stations that will be set up to aid you if you desire to engage with them will be:
Gratitude
Confession/Repentance
Receiving from the Lord for yourself
Receiving a word of encouragement/exhortation for the church/others
Intercession/Praying for Needs
Praying the Word
Here are some details about times and different opportunities:
- Monday through Friday; 7am-8pm (except for Thursday going to 9pm for our monthly prayer evening)
- There will be childcare available Monday through Thursday (10am-12pm) & Thursday evening (7-9pm) for you to participate more freely.

Month of Prayer & Fasting
As we start the new year, we jump into our month of prayer and fasting. This is our annual rhythm of setting or re-setting our sights on the Father as Provider and Sustainer. To seek Jesus as our Lord, Shepherd, Brother, and Friend. To know the Holy Spirit as Guide and Helper. I trust that as we are intentional about our focus we will grow in the Lord, in the knowledge of his will and in our discipleship to Jesus.
Here's how we want to help this happen in your life this months you press in:
This Sunday we will kick off a sermon series on prayer that will deepen our understanding of different aspects of prayer and inspire us to action. We will also cover the big prayer points for 2025 this upcoming Sunday! (New cards available at the front desk)
We will provide helpful prompts for different areas to seek the Lord in this January. (Character Growth Point, Time/Calendar Management, Relationships, Points of Prayer for Others, Points of Prayer for ourselves etc.)
We are going to host Dwell, a time for personal worship and prayer, in the sanctuary every Tuesday from 7am-8pm for the entire month. Childcare is available from 10am-12pm those days. (We will invite all who are willing to join in a fast from food every Tuesday this month as we pray for the big prayer points and personal prayer as well. To humble ourselves before God and declare that we hunger and desire him and his will more than food itself.)
We will also have a full week of Dwell from January 20-24th, 7am-8pm daily, a highlight of the week being our Prayer & Worship Night at 7pm-9pm Thursday the 23rd. (We also invite you to consider a 1,3 or 5 day fast that week as we corporately seek God and set our hearts on him. More info to come to help you with that if need be)
